When was the last time you opened your Build Mode catalog and felt genuinely excited? If the answer is “uh, a while,” you’re not alone. Base game furniture is great, but after enough hours it all starts blending together, and your builds end up missing that final homey touch.
The good news is that a catalog refresh doesn’t take much. A few well-chosen CC sets can change how an entire room feels, and the clean Maxis Match style means everything still sits right next to your game items. I rounded up five sets that have earned a permanent spot in my Mods folder. Soft, warm, and very easy to fall for.
Melody Set by Niky Sims
The melody set by niky sims has my living room looking like a pinterest board came to life 🌸 soft textures, clean lines, the kind of furniture that makes you want to just sit in your own game for a while. downloaded it for one build and now it’s in every save.
Restlo Set by Niky Sims
Was building a cozy corner for my sim and couldn’t figure out why the room felt off. then i added the restlo set by niky sims and suddenly everything clicked. sometimes it really is just about finding the right furniture to make a space feel lived in
Random Recolors #5 by Butterflytrait
Butterflytrait’s random recolors #5 has been living in every single room i build lately and i genuinely cannot stop 😭 something about having those extra color options just makes the furniture feel right. like the whole space finally breathes. i keep opening the catalog just to look at it again. it’s that good.
Colby (Mini set) by Niky Sims
The colby mini set by niky sims is doing a lot of heavy lifting for a small collection. not a ton of pieces but everything is so intentional? the scale is perfect for tight spaces and nothing feels filler. actually impressed 🪑
Bubblegum Pop by atticwindowatdawn
Omg look at this. bubblegum pop by atticwindowatdawn is so cute i actually gasped 😍 the furniture has this whole retro-sweet energy that makes any room feel like a vibe. like you decorated with your whole personality on purpose. immediately going in every build i touch for the foreseeable future no notes whatsoever
